WP1: Photo-induced topology (ICFO)

Demonstration of single and nested light-induced topology in hexagonal materials, intrinsic topological insulators, Weyl semi-metals, superconductors, and/or nanostructured crystals with the tools defined in WP1, and optical manipulation of these states. The package will be lead by ICFO.

WP2: Engineering multi-topological states (FVB-MBI)

Led by FVB-MBI, this work package will engineer multi-topological states. Leveraging light-induced topology, the reduction of the spatial scale, incrementation of edge states, Chern number engineering and the definition of readout protocols and observables to proof the efficacy of the approach.

WP3: Logic operations and computations with topological structures (LightOn)

Implementation of logic operations in topologically protected structures by switching spatial patterns and by temporal sequence light pulses, the realization of passive (linear) operations and investigation of its linearity, miniaturization of topological patterning with nanostructures, quantum state operations with spatiotemporal light patterns in hexagonal systems. LighOn will lead the work package.

WP4: Management, exploitation, dissemination and communication (ICFO)

ICFO will lead the management, exploitation, dissemination, and communication of Optologic.  It will seek efficient project management and dissemination, towards the large public and possible fundraisers.
